The graveyard of wasted talents...

... where Goddess-given gifts wither into oblivion

Hello Wondrous Being,

When I hang out with my super cool aunt Hamida (which is often because she’s the best cook in the family), we somehow always end up on the subject of the squandered destinies of the women of our families. I dramatically call it the graveyard of wasted talents. All my female cousins and aunts have gifts the world is being deprived of as we speak.

If you got gifts buried there too, fret no more. I'm here to help you resurrect them, sex-witch style.

I decided the cycle ends with me. Guided and initiated by those who came before me — teachers both living and passed whose shoulders I stand on, as well as spirits — I vowed to change the destiny of my lineage. As my healer friends say in Mexico, ‘sana una, sana todas’, you heal one, you heal all. After a lifetime of giving away my power to others I thought must be right since it seems I’m the weirdo, all the while ignoring this feeling in my guts, after a life-time of having to do damage-control in the aftermath of harmful experiences whether in sex, love, friendship or even work, thus devoting all of my energy to surviving instead of living, I decided I was going to sing my goddamn songs, and I was going to be my goddamn self.

Now. It can be draining to always go against the grain in a dominant culture that constantly discredits and erases biracial folks, indigenous folks, people with invisible disabilities, artists, truth-tellers and basically anyone that threatens the established order. It’s alienating and it’s isolating.

So with this newsletter, I want to offer a respite from this collective gaslighting. A space for you to feel seen, to get a better understanding of yourself through the lens of the systemic issues that are so pervasive they’re like the air we breathe, and we don’t always get to take a step back and hear that voice inside that tells us something doesn’t feel right.

I also want to give you practical ways to listen to that voice, heal old patterns, and find new paths of pleasure, of joy, to magnetize your heart’s desires : find your people, create, find your (soul)mate(s), have ecstatic orgasms, fall back in love with your body. Without EVER having to sacrifice ANY part of your identity. The world needs you AS YOU ARE. And you don’t have to wait to heal, fix or change ANYTHING about yourself to be worthy. You are royal, worthy and deserving. Right. the Fuck. Now.

I’ll leave you with this mantra my dear friend Andrea came up with for me the other day :

My voice and body are divine portals to my authentic expression. I am a radiant force of love and pleasure, embracing my truth and creativity as a path to liberation and self-empowerment.

I wept when she read this to me. In the waves of sound emanating from her throat, my soul had found physical matter on which to travel, a little butterfly fluttering around in the space between us, free and delighted to be here partaking in Life on Earth. A sign that reminded me that yes, this exists, it has a place in the world.

I’d love to know if this mantra resonates with you too...

So here’s an opportunity for a little pocket of connection to Your Wondrous Self today :

If you feel so inclined, I invite you to turn your attention to your breathing for a few seconds. Once you feel centered (enough), read it again, out loud or in your head, and see : how did that land in your body ? What came up for you when you read this : what thought, emotion, memory or sensation bubbled up to the surface, if any ?

What makes me an expert to speak to all of this ?

First of all, I’m no expert in anything apart from an expert in myself – and still then, it’s a never-ending process. That said, as a graduate singing and vocal technique teacher trained by a PT, as well as a certified Sex, Love and Relationship Vita™ coach specialized in the Jade Egg and Conscious Dating, and after over a decade of self-work, I’ve amassed enough knowledge and wisdom to guide you to become an expert in YOURself.

As for the rest, I am continuously educating myself on all the subjects that can make my space safer and more inclusive. It’s a journey we’re on together as we learn everyday to treat ourselves differently than the way we’ve been treated (and have sometimes treated others, before we knew better), with more compassion and kindness.

À propos de l’auteur de Your Wondrous Self …

Hi, I’m Sarah...

...singer-songwriter and Creative Self coach.

I guide neurospicy vulva-bodied creatives on a transformative journey of self-love, liberation, and authentic expression, helping them break free from limiting societal beliefs and reconnect with their true desires. Through pleasure and creativity, I empower people to heal, embrace their sexuality, and unlock their magic, so they can live and create in alignment with their true selves.

I’m passionate about issues relating to identity. My experience is that of a white-presenting neurospicy biracial cis-female artist, but my curiosity and love is for the plurality of experiences that makes for the beauty of us as humanity, and that are all celebrated in my practice.
